The new publication of Gianluca Spinaci: New Spaces and Contracts for European Integration?
The study touches upon the question of cohesion among different territories, and territorial cohesion as a new objective for the Union according to the Lisbon Treaty. The authors point out that EGTC is one of the main tool for the implementation of multilevel governance and the more efficient function of “beyond-the-border” co-operations. We are given a status report about the establishment, the condition of the groupings, the political context and the policy agenda.
The study devotes special attention to the macro-regions, which has a more and more significant political meaning nowadays, as well as their activity as a grouping. The study is available as an attached file.
