“Sharing the Experiences of the EGTC Approval Authorities – Economic Development from the Perspective of the EU and the CEI"
Hungary will organise for the 4th time the Annual Meeting of the EGTC Approval Authorities at April 16-17, 2015. This time the topic of the conference is Sharing the Experiences of the EGTC Approval Authorities – Economic Development from the Perspective of the EU and the CEI. The event will take place on the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary with the financial support of the Secretariat of the Central European Initiative (CEI).
Among the Approval Authorities’ traditional experience sharing the main topic of the conference will be the issue of integrated economic development. By the conference we attempt to create an interface between the CEI objectives, the European Territorial Cooperation Programs, the EU Macro-regional Strategies, and the local stakeholders, such as the EGTCs and SME-s, in order to have a clear overview of the possibilities for business development based on real local needs and offered by the new 2014-2020 programming period.
As a follow-up of the Hungarian Presidency of the CEI, with this conference we would like to reinforce the bridge between CEI and EU objectives, as well as EU countries and non-EU CEI countries by capitalizing the EGTCs as important tools for boosting local economic development.
Representatives of the EGTC Approval Authorities, experts of ministries responsible for economic development, and representatives of international institutions such as the CEI Secretariat, European Commission, Committee of the Regions, European Investment Bank, Association of European Border Regions, EGTCs and also representatives of the ETC Program Managing Authorities will be invited.
