The European Commission has launched a consultation on the modernisation of the EU public procurement policy, open till the 18 April. The consultation’s objective is a public debate on how legislation could be updated to help public procurers cope with certain new challenges and help the preparation of the future legislative proposal on the reform of the EU public procurement rules.

It mentions specifically the possibility of public procurement at cross-border level, thus the experience of the EGTC can be very important. The Commission aims to assess the experiences in tendering at cross-border level as EGTC, the problems encountered and the way to solve them.

All citizens and organisations are welcome to contribute to this consultation.

All information about the consultation and the submission of contributions can be found here.
