The event series “Open Days” held annually is grouped around the sphere of thought “Global Challenges, European Answers” in 2009 and it concentrates on 4 topics: regions and climate change, sustainable development, territorial cooperation and the effect and future of the cohesion policy of the European Union.
The cooperation of the municipalities is effected most by the two last topics, which are connected to the following professional meetings:
- Cross-border cooperation: lessons learnt and steps forward
- Possible government models in cross-border cooperation in Europe, the EGTC as an instrument
- The effective management of European territorial cooperation
- Strategic Forum for the Euroregions: territorial cooperation after 2013
- The positive results of the EGTC and possible solutions of problematic issues
