Alps-Mediterranean Euroregion EGTC – with Spanish and French partners

Name of EGTC: Alps-Mediterranean Euroregion EGTC – with Spanish and French partners

Relying on working groups set up by Euroregion partners, this EGTC focuses on five major issues having key relevance to the regions affected. Such sharing of task may change as activities performed by partners in the new EGTC framework progress. The Piedmont region manages the case file “access and transport”, and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region deals with innovation and research. The Rhône-Alpes region is in charge of environment protection, risk prevention and sustainable development, Liguria deals with tourism and culture, while Aosta Valley manages activities related to education and training.

Name of EGTC: Archimed - EGTC-with Italy, Spain, Cyprus

New EGTC with partners from Italy, Spain and Cyprus. The initiative involves the Balearic Islands, Cyprus and the isle of Sicily. It's called EGTC Archimed (Mediterranean archipelago) and the Convention came after the signing of a statute of cooperation in July 2009 between the Region of Sicily, the Balearic Islands and Cyprus.

Name of EGTC: Cerdanya Cross-Border Hospital-with Fance and Spain

Puigcerdá, 26 April. The President of Catalonia and the French Minister of Health and Sports sign the conventions and the agreement of the EGTC "Hospital de la Cerdanya". Mr José Montilla and Ms Roselyne Bachelot signed the convention and agreement of the EGTC that will provide with health care to circa 30.000 inhabitants of the Cerdanya valley, at both sides of the Spanish-French border. The Spanish Minister of Health, the Mayor of Puigcerdŕ and the representative of the European Commission in Spain attended the event. The Spanish Council of Ministers will approve the EGTC on Friday 30 April and it will be published in the Spanish official journal soon.

The statutes of the "Eurodistrict SaarMoselle" with partners from France and Germany have been signed the 6 May 2010. The registered office of this new EGTC will be in Sarreguemines (FR).
The Eurodistrict SaarMoselle was established in May 2010 with partners from France and Germany (registered office in Sarreguemines, France). The actions of the Eurodistrict contribute to the development of a cross-border area where 600 000 inhabitants live, notably in the fields of tourism, health and transport. The establishment of this EGTC represents the achievement of more than 10 years of cross-border cooperation.

Strasbourg-Ortenau is a Franco-German eurodistrict, a cross border administrative entity sharing common institutions, established on 17 October 2005 and definitely functional since 4 February 2010. The district is formed by the Urban Community of Strasbourg (centred on the city of Strasbourg) on the French side of the Rhine and the Ortenau district (including Achern, Kehl, Lahr, Oberkirch and Offenburg) on the German side. The combined population of the district is 884,988. It covers an area of 2,176 km2

The name of the EGTC: Pons Danubia Limited European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation

The aim of the EGTC - through the implementation of programs with the European Union co-finance and territorial cooperation – is to enable and forward the economic and social cohesion’s furtherance and confirmation, through the exploitation of the EGTC’s legal entity, in accordance with the present statutes’ V. chapter 1. article, between the municipalites’ administrational boundaries.

The EGTC's specific goals are:
- to create a cross border cohesion throughout the EGTC' territories
- the implementation of joint projects to improve its strategy
- to make life easier for fellow citizens throughtout of the EGTC' territories

The primary aim of the EGTC to implemet the cross border cooperation of the programs and projects with or without the European Union financial contribution.

The EGTC main tasks to identfy as well as to implemet the following programs, projects, joint actions through the framwork of the regional cross border coopeartion such as:
-transport
-economy
-turism
-energy as well as orientation of renewable energy
-culture
-life and enveronment
-human recourses and education
-the cooperation of public institutions and specialists
-sports and health
-desaster recovery

The Pons Danubia EGTC Association is the 15th officially registered in the European Union and the members are: Komárom, Tata, Kisbér, Révkomárom (Komárno), Gúta (Kolárovo), Ógyalla (Hurbanovo)

EGTC, with partners from Portugal and Spain, intends to promote the cross-border relations between the members of the EGTC in the fields of the environment, culture, tourism and economic development, implement joint projects of co-operation, promote the territory outside and generate synergies to invert the negative demographic tendencies of the area.The members of ZASNET are: Associaçăo de Municipios da Terra Fria do Nordeste Transmontano (PT), Associaçăo de Municipios da Terra Quente Transmontana (PT), Diputación Provincial de Zamora (ES), Diputación Provincial de Salamanca (ES), and Ayuntamiento de Zamora (ES)

EGTC with limited responsibility Linieland van Waas en Hulst 

This is the first EGTC created under Belgian Law, and the first one created with Dutch partners, extending the EGTC now to 12 Member States.

 The EGTC 'Linieland van Waas en Hulst' groups the municipalities (gemeenten) of Beveren, Sint-Gillis-Waas and Stekene in Belgium and Hulst in the Netherland, and the provinces of Oost-Vlaanderen in Belgium and Zeeland in the Netherlands. The population of the municipalities adds up to circa 110.000 inhabitants.
